I will always be a firm believer in the fact that words have power. Define our life, our mentality, our attitude so much more than we realize.

Imagine how you feel when you are angry and spewing negative words. Imagine how you feel when you are happy and sending out loving, positive words. Is it the emotion that creates the words? I think it’s a universal relationship. Oftentimes, it’s words that anger us. Despite how many times we say that the actions of people/things/events are the things that anger us, aren’t we the first ones who thought (in words) of how to describe these things?

Think back to the last thing that was memorable to you in way of you being extremely happy. What words are conjured up? Are those the words that you first thought of when the event happened? What did you allow within yourself to create and have such a positive experience?

Think back to that same moment, and then think of the last time you were truly angry or mad. What actually made you mad about it? Why do you think you couldn’t shake off that negative feeling?

Could it be positive words, positive thoughts, positive life?

Could it be negative words, negative thoughts, negative life?

I know, and believe that it’s healthy to experience all the emotions, but that there certainly comes a time for you to remember to put everything in perspective. Perspective. PERSPECTIVE. Redefining, reexamining.

Think back to something that has happened in your life lately that you felt almost neutral about. Now try to conjure up some nice positive thoughts about that lately. Even if they are minute. Can you help that memory of yours develop into a positive one versus a negative one?
